About ISR

More Than Traditional Swim Lessons

ISR Self-Rescue lessons are designed to teach children age-appropriate survival swimming skills through one-on-one, individualized instruction.

What makes ISR different?

Each lesson is tailored to a child’s age, development, ability, and readiness. Lessons are short, consistent, and focused on building real skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Individualized

Your instructor adjusts lessons to each child’s readiness, confidence, and progress.

Safety-focused

ISR skills are one important layer of protection alongside supervision, barriers, alarms, CPR knowledge, and safe habits.

Compassionate

Children are never thrown into the water. Instruction is carefully guided and relationship-based.

ISR is not a drowning-prevention guarantee.

No program can guarantee drowning prevention. ISR equips children with survival swimming skills that can serve as an important layer of protection, but active adult supervision remains the most critical defense against drowning.
